Paragon Christian Alliance International
Northwind Institute courses meet the ordination requirements of Paragon Christian Alliance International (PCIA)
PCIA is officially and legally recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) and holds a “Group Status” in which it has been given the authority by the IRS to issue the 501(c)(3) to qualified religious organizations referred to as “subordinates.” Each ministry (subordinate) is autonomous and sovereign operated by its’ own governing board.
PCAI was organized and chartered in 1976 under the name “Christian Ministries” – a local non-denominational religious organization in Monroe, Louisiana. In 1988, the leadership with over forty years of ministry experience, met to discuss a fresh vision for soul winning, evangelism, church planting, missions, and Christian education. During this meeting they expanded the organization nationally and internationally under the name of Association of Evangelical Gospel Assemblies. In 2011 the primary legal name was changed to PARAGON CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL, INC. to better express the vision and purpose of the ministry maintaining the former name as a tradename.
Northwind has expanded its ministry by forming a theological seminary.
The purpose of the seminary is to offer pastors who received their ordination without a MDiv a pathway to an earned Master's Degree.
The majority of new pastors are entering ministry in alternate or non-tradional ordination programs.
Traditional seminary degrees are out of reach for the majority of these pastors. Northwind offers an alternative online educational experience.
