Our faculty hold Master and Doctorate degrees from regionally accredited colleges, universities, seminaries and theological schools.

 

Our Core Faculty have taught, are eligible to teach, or are still teaching in regionally accredited colleges, universities, seminaries and theological schools.

Accreditation

 

Northwind Institute has been approved to provide theological educational course credits and/or programs pursuant to the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools standards.

 

Northwind Institute is a Certified Academic Institution of the National Christian Counselors Association offering training in Christian Counseling.

 

Northwind Institute is an International Representative for the Sarasota Academy of Christian Counselors offering training in Christian Temperament Life Coaching.

Northwind Institute courses have also been approved by:
 

  • American Baptists Churches of the Rocky Mountains
  • American Baptists Churches of the Central Region
  • Mid-American Baptists Churches

How do online classes work?

 

You will be able to access course materials, view lectures and complete assignments at your own pace.

 

Occasionally, instructors will call for a “Live Session” which is a time-sensitive event. We try to note this in the classroom and time it around your schedule. You will be given access to Zoom rooms for synchronous events.

 

 

How long does a course last?

 

Our courses are designed to be completed in one month. However, you can complete your courses as quickly as you desire, or take more time if necessary.

 

 

When can I Enroll? Can I enroll late?

You may start your course at any time. There is no order in which you have to take courses to complete a Certificate Program or other program.

 

Our Certificate Program courses are open enrollment and you may start at any time.

 

 

How Do I Enroll?

Select your course and click the PayPal Button to pay and enroll in a course. There is no prior application to fill out as our courses are open enrollment. Once you have made your payment we will send you password, and instructions on how to enter your classroom.

 

 

How can I access my course?

 

You will be emailed your password after payment for your course is received.

 

We have scaled our courses so that you may be able to access your courses(s) on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

 

 

Are there Pre-requisites?

 

Courses are open enrollment. (Except for select courses that have specific prerequisites)

 

Northwind Institute does not require students to have a denominational affiliation.

 

There are no previous educational requirements*

*Ordination, Counseling and Coaching courses require a high school diploma or GED
'Master of Ministry Degree Transfer requires a Bachelor Degree

 

 

What are the course costs?

 

Visit each program page to view pricing to see if there are any specials or membership discounts that apply. Tuition is subject to change.

 

Are Textbooks Included?

 

Textbook costs are not included in your tuition unless otherwise noted.

 

All textbooks are available for purchase online at Amazon.com. Most texts are available in a digital format and can be viewed by downloading the FREE Kindle App to your device of choice.

 

Textbooks are also available directly from the publisher. Be sure to visit each program's textbook page for specific text information to find out more about its publisher, availability, formats, and price.

What if I have Classroom Technical Difficulties

System Requirements - are there any?

 

You will need access to the internet.

 

There will be no other software programs that you have to purchase to complete Northwind Courses. Any programs you may need access to are FREE and available online.


It will be noted in the classroom if you will need access to programs like Skype, Kindle or YouTube.

 

You will need access to a word processing program in order to write and upload your papers and documents to Moodle to complete course requirements.

 

You can download word processing programs for FREE by visiting www.openoffice.org

This program is similar to Microsoft Office. This program is used at regionally accredited colleges and universities.

 

 

Refund Policy

 

100% Refund if the course is not accessed in the Classroom.

    0% Refund once your course is accessed in the  Classroom.

Refund requests must be made within 30 days of course enrollment.

 

 

Transcript Requests

 

A PDF transcript will be provided to you FREE of charge after each course you complete. If you request an additional PDF transcript or would like a hard copy to be mailed, there will be a $50 charge.

Certificate Requests

 

A PDF Certificate will be provided to you FREE of charge after each program you complete in full. If you request an additional PDF Certificate or request a hard copy to be mailed there will be a $50 charge.

Medical Leave

 

Students may request a medical leave which allows a student to return to their studies at a future date.
