Meta-Urban Ministry is about practical engagement of the Christian—and interfaith—prophetic imagination to reimagine metropolitan spaces free from poverty, hunger, violence, inadequate housing, and under-resourced public education, environmental distress, and related harms.

To create the Beloved Community through entrepreneurial approaches to ministry, relational discipleship, and contextual evangelism. It aims to develop social enterprises or community centers that offer sustainable, service-focused initiatives addressing both the social determinants of health and spiritual well-being for community transformation.

Core qualities of Meta-Urban Ministry include:

 Recognizing urban spaces as God’s special strategic bases for the proclamation,
practice and prophetic means of grace for Shalom and justice,
 Recognizing cities as layered systems instead of single places,
 Acknowledging that urban life has physical, spiritual, and digital dimensions,
 Understanding communities as relational and network-based, not just place-based,
 Focusing on adaptability, hybridity, and context-sensitive practices,
 Exploring a meta-modern approach to urban theology and practice for social
transformation leading to the Beloved Community

We invite you to join us as we explore:

Relational discipleship that prioritizes peer-led, authentic one-to-one relationships
alongside (and beyond) traditional programmatic models.

An expanded understanding of urban ministry that moves beyond established city
centers and planned communities to the broader landscape of meta-urban metroplexes.

Bridging the digital divide by leveraging advanced social media and AI-enabled
strategies to strengthen community capacity and communicate a message of hope grounded in
collective love.

The Beloved Community as governed with restorative justice and mercy. Where every
individual’s lives matters regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation or identity,
or national origins. A community where equity, diversity and inclusion are the rule rather
than the exception. Where we share a common future hope regardless of our past.
Where everyone is assured, they are loved unconditionally and forever.
